Installation
Our software has been specifically designed to offer maximum effectiveness with a very low resource requirement. We recommend a system running Windows Server 2003 or XP with 512MB of ram or higher and a 1ghz+ processor. However, additional performance can be gained from running PostCoder® on higher grade systems.
How do I install PostCoder®?
All PostCoder® products (except PostCoder Batch) are installed using the Setup program. The Windows Autorun feature will start the setup program as soon as you put the PostCoder® CD in your CD-ROM/DVD drive. Alternatively you can do this manually by choosing Start | Run... and type d:\setup.exe where d: is your CD-ROM/DVD drive letter. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
How do I install a data Update?
If you receive a data Update CD, you should replace your existing .DAT file with those provided on the Update CD. You can do this by copying the files on the CD and pasting them into your installation directory. You must choose to overwrite previous versions of the file. If you would like assistance with this, please contact our Support team.
Can I change from using data from the CD to using data from the hard disk and vice-versa?
Yes. You can change your data location easily by copying the data file to a suitable location on your hard disk and editing the AD.INI file in your PostCoder® directory. If you would like to discuss this with a member of our support team, please contact us.
